Round Top Windows – Storms panels
Challenge: These beautiful round top windows are original to this Oak Park house. However, as anyone who’s lived in an old house knows, even beautiful old windows can be drafty. So how does one deal with drafty windows? One approach is to install storm windows. Now the question becomes how does one find storm windows to fit arched top windows?
Solution: CWDS has been custom fabricating arched and round top storm windows and doors for many years. We fabricate the frames out of rot-resistant woods in our shop and custom fit the storm windows to each opening in the field to ensure a good tight fit. Our storm windows provide customers with the option to have either a solid storm panel or interchangeable storm and screen panels. They retain the look of a traditional wood storm window, but incorporate a modern upgrade for convenience and efficiency.
